This year locks in the last two decades of airtight success for VACPAC! We are celebrating the last 20 years of helping businesses across various industries to keep things fresh, reduce waste, and boost efficiency. Thanks to all the trust and support from our customers and partners who have joined us on our journey, making it possible for us to keep things fresh with unsealed innovation in vacuum packaging solutions.Â
Over the past two decades, VACPAC has used ingenuity to fill a gap in the market where they spotted a lack of expertise with vacuum packing equipment across various industries. VACPAC was officially born in 2005 from humble beginnings with a workshop in the family home garage at Redland Bay.Â
Since their first hand-written invoice on 16th March 2005 to Patton’s Big Gun at Underwood, VACPAC has remained a leader in the industry. Our commitment to problem-solving has led to the development of tailored onsite vacuum packaging equipment servicing, allowing us to tailor solutions to the ever-changing needs of our customers.Â
VACPAC was a one-man operation, starting as a byproduct of Ian de Villiers’ meat processing equipment servicing and repairs company. The family business was redirected into a new, niche direction, sparking the interest of his son, Kurt de Villiers, the current owner and director of VACPAC. Kurt joined his dad, Ian, in August 2009 after completing his electrical apprenticeship and became the sole director after his father retired in 2017. wine.

VACPAC has since grown to be a 14-person team and assists businesses across the country with tailored vacuum packaging solutions. We’ve been able to pack and seal a whole lot into the last 20 years. These are just some of VACPAC’s milestones and achievements over the years:Â
- First Henkelman machine sale to Banyo Meat Service in 2005
- First Scandivac machine sale to Meat at Billy’s
- First Scandivac thermoformer sale to Gotzinger Smallgoods
- First large belt chamber vacuum packer to InghamsÂ
- First employee was Berni in 2011
- 3414 customers with 2118 having a repeat frequency of 8 months or less
These successes have been sealed by working closely with our customers and suppliers to provide the best possible service, products, and customer experience.
However, VACPAC is always looking towards the future. With the launch of our new website, VACPAC aims to provide excellent customer service and tailored solutions to more businesses in a wide range of industries across the country. We consistently strive to stay up to date with the latest technology and solutions to ensure we can provide the best solutions for our customers.Â
We are not alone in our achievement of the past 20 years and are immensely thankful to those customers and partners who have supported and joined us on our journey, giving us the opportunities to continue to grow. With the last two decades sealed and packed, we are always looking to keep things fresh. Stay tuned to see what the next two decades bring!
